Carl Lavia, nicknamed “Sketch”, is a cartoonist based in London. Since the age of five, he has enjoyed reproducing architectural illustrations and complex representations of the largest cities, although his reproductions were initially fictional urban environments. His works are mainly made on archival paper with ink, giving the public the impression of being in front of a real map with an aerial viewpoint.
He then decided to partner with photographer Lorna Le Bredonchel to carry out the # 69Cities project which consists in portraying the whole of the United Kingdom through its 69 cities. The duo then wants to develop an application that will allow visitors to explore each 3D artwork for an unprecedented immersive experience.
