The Art of Rock Balancing by Pascal Fiechter (Gravity Meditation)

The most fundamental element of balancing in a physical sense is finding some kind of ‘tripod’ for the rock to stand on. Every rock is covered in a variety of tiny to large indentations that can act as a tripod for the rock to stand upright, or in most orientations you can think of with other rocks. By paying close attention to the feeling of the rocks, you will start to feel even the smallest clicks as the notches of the rocks in contact are moving over one another.

This year its been 10 years a go when Pascal found a place of incredible natural beauty and he wanted to say thanks to Gaia (Earth) for hosting him and let him be able to see and realize all this beauty. On this day he build a stoneman in the Himalayas. He continued with this practise when ever he found a new place which he was overwhelmed by the art of Nature. When in addition Gaia offered him enough stones to do so, he honored here with a Gaia Inukshuk.

Up to this date this project got 65 Installations on different locations around the World and many more to come.
