If you found that insects are gross and horrible, your view will slightly different with these ones. The artist, Justin Gershenson-Gates creates mini sculptures of insects out of torn mechanical parts.

The grandson of a railroad man and the son of a gear head, artist Justin Gershenson-Gates has been surrounded by mechanical things from his early childhood. Now, all grown up, he is still passionate about tearing mechanical gadgets apart and making something new and fascinating out of them. That’s how his “A Mechanical Mind” sculpture series came to life.

His little spiders, flies, scorpions, and praying mantises look amazingly realistic, except for their steampunk spirit. The ghostly little creatures are impressively detailed and seem ready to jump out of the picture any minute.
